Our Services

Ridge Physical Therapy is a physical therapist owned, private practice servicing the greater Brooklyn community since 1981.  Services are provided by licensed physical therapists who develop individualized treatment plans focused on Restoring Your Abilities.

Individualized Care

Your treatment begins with an in depth evaluation by one of our licensed therapists. At the end of the evaluation, you and your therapist will discuss the therapy goals. A combination of what you would like to achieve and the evaluation findings by the therapist, will determine your goals. An individualized treatment plan, will then be formulated by your therapist to address these goals. All sessions are provided on a one to one basis by a licensed physical therapist in a professional, and relaxed atmosphere. We work hard to help you achieve your goals and "restore your abilities". We make every effort to accommodate your needs.

Post-Operative Care

Every surgical procedure is different and your physical therapist will treat you with an individualized plan of care. Most surgical procedures vary to some degree in complexity one way or another. Whether it’s the rotator cuff, an ACL reconstruction, hip replacement, frature repair or meniscus repair, our therpists are qualified to rehabilitate you as an individual.

Postural and Biomechanical Assessments

Every injury has a cause. Many people do not have a single event that can be traced to an injury. That is why we employ an extensive examination to analyze your posture and biomechanics, taking into consideration your life style and work sitaution. To truly understand the course of many injuries, one must uncover the reason for the injury. We are able to analyze and break-down the mechanics of almost any activity, and identify faults that may have led to your injury. Once discovered, the faults can be corrected, resulting in quicker recovery time and preventing re-injury.

Preventative Spinal Care

Most back and neck issues if not properly addressed through comprehensive, prescribed therapeutic intervention will become chronic. To assist with your recovery we will analyze what the cause of your spinal issues are and how to rehabilitate the condition. This will involve modifying your activities, analyzing muscle imbalances, comprehensive postural re-education, increasing your strength of the key back/neck muscles, and education in a comprehensive home program to maintain the spine in working order. You no longer have to live a life with spinal pain.

Sprains, strains, -itis, and more

Whether you have an acute sprain of the ankle, strain of the cervical spine, bursitis, tendinitis, whiplash, trigger finger, you name it, we can help. If it involves an orthopedic condition, our physical therapists are qualified to assist you in recovery. The fact is the vast majority of sprains, strains, inflammations, and irritations do not require surgery, but will require some form of physical therapy.

Pediatrics

Many  children suffer from developmental, neurological or genetic disorders. Early detection and treatment is the key in preventing further disability.

Cancer “Pre-rehab”

Cancer treatment can be debilitating and physical therapy can help patients prepare for the changes to come. P.T. goals are focused toward physically and mentally preparing for treatment. Fitness is key in reducing the effects from chemotherapy and radiation while improving post operative recovery.
